A man was flown to a Rhode Island hospital with serious injuries after crashing off Route 3 in Plymouth on Sunday night, according to the town’s fire department.
Firefighters went to Route 3 at around 8:11 p.m. Sunday, where a vehicle had gone off the southbound lanes and into the woods. The driver of the vehicle, a man, was trapped inside and had to be freed using hydraulic extrication tools, Fire Chief Neil Foley said in a statement.
First responders spent about 20 minutes freeing the man.
