A chaotic scene unfolded Wednesday afternoon in Worcester, beginning when a man killed another man and ending when the man turned the gun on himself after firing at Massachusetts State Police state troopers on Interstate 190.
Worcester police were notified of a potential gunshot victim at an address on Heroult Road around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday. Arriving officers found a man with serious injuries after having been shot, the department said in a Facebook post. The man was pronounced dead at a hospital.
A “short time later,” a State Police trooper approached a man acting suspiciously. The man then pulled out a gun and fired a round, according to the statement.
