15-year-old killed, 3 injured in ‘tragic’ crash on Route 28 in Randolph, DA says

A 15-year-old boy has died and three others were hospitalized following a late-night crash in one Southeast Massachusetts town this week, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Terry Boston Jr., of Brockton, was killed in the crash that happened on North Main Street (Route 28) in Randolph around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, the DA’s Office reports.

One male passenger was airlifted to Boston Medical Center and placed in the Intensive Care Unit while two female passengers were also taken to area hospitals via ambulance.

Initial investigation determined that a 2011 Nisan Altima was going south when it left the road and hit a tree in the area of 701 North Main Street, officials said. Authorities are still trying to determine how the car left the road.

“I join the Randolph Police in extending my condolences to young Mr. Boston’s family on this tragic loss of life,” Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey said.

So far, no charges have been filed and the crash remains under investigation.
