$10,000 bail ordered for suspect in fatal Chicopee pedestrian crash

One of the two men charged with felonies in connection to a collision that killed a pedestrian in Chicopee in February was ordered held on $10,000 bail on Wednesday.

Jerimeldo Lopez, 23, of South Hadley, appeared in Chicopee District Court on April 9. He pleaded not guilty to charges of leaving the scene of personal injury or death and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Judge Brandon Freeman ordered Lopez held on $10,000 cash bail, according to legal filings. He is scheduled to appear for probable cause hearing on May 6.
