Devers was 8-for-20 (.400) with four homers and five RBI to go along with seven walks, five runs scored and a slugging percentage of 1.000 with a .586 on-base percentage last week. He homered in the ninth inning Sunday in Toronto to tie the game, only for the Red Sox to lose in the bottom of the inning. He also homered Saturday; that, too, came in a losing cause.

On Saturday, Devers became the first Red Sox player since Jackie Bradley Jr. in 2019 to draw two intentional walks in the same game.

Devers currently leads the Red Sox in homers with 33 and RBI with 98. Over the weekend, he recorded his 400th career extra base hit and joined an exclusive list of players who have accomplished that feat before the age of 27. He’s currently tied with Hall of Famer Jim Rice for most homers by a Red Sox player (172) before turning 27.
