Haverhill police found a man and woman shot dead inside a home Sunday evening while responding to a well-being check, according to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
Officers responded to the home on Broadway around 5:45 p.m. after receiving a request for a well-being check, the district attorney’s office said in a press release. There, they found the man and woman dead from gunshot wounds.
The identities of the deceased are being withheld until their next of kin have been notified of their deaths, the district attorney’s office said. There is no known risk to the public.
Haverhill police and the district attorney’s office are investigating the deaths. No further information has been released.
