The Catholic Memorial Knights (5-0, 1-0) will put their perfect record on the line when they travel to XBHS Varsity Stadium in Westwood to face the Xaverian Hawks (3-2, 1-0) in a key Catholic Conference matchup Friday night.
Both teams are coming off convincing victories last week – Catholic Memorial downed Malden Catholic 47-14 behind senior quarterback Kise Flannery’s three touchdowns and sophomore Christian Simmons’ two rushing scores, while Xaverian handled Saint John’s 40-16.
The Hawks, led by highly-recruited junior quarterback Will Wood and veteran captains Dave Chiavegato, Dominic Funke, Christian McIntyre and Gino Gioioso, will seek revenge after last October’s 40-37 defeat to the Knights in West Roxbury.
Opening kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET on Friday, October 17 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
