This Mass. city still hasn’t replaced its chief equity officer after two years

As of March 2024, Worcester is the largest city in Massachusetts without a chief equity officer — a fact Worcester NAACP President Fred Taylor describes as both unfortunate and frustrating.

“I am a little disappointed we haven’t hired one yet,” Taylor said. “Trying to get people to apply has been really hard.”
